Restaurants Wanted

The Edmonton Chamber of Commerce and Alberta Beef Producers cordially invite local restaurant owners to take part in an exciting new promotional campaign.

As a Chamber member participating in this program, your restaurant will be contacted and visited – at your discretion – by a small team of Chamber representatives to experience your high standards of quality and service sampling your breakfast, lunch or supper menus. Subsequently, a promotional article highlighting you and your restaurant will appear in the Edmonton Commerce News, a Chamber publication distributed to over 30,000 local area businesses monthly.

Our objective is to provide a tangible, ultra-low-cost, promotional alternative to our hospitality industry members. Preference will be given to those outlets serving or specializing in Alberta Beef.

Soldiers Return Home

Edmonton's business community is invited to the Edmonton International Airport to join fellow citizens in expressing their appreciation for the dedication and sacrifice of Canadian troops now arriving home from Afghanistan. Many of those completing the six month tour of duty are members of the Canadian Princess Patricia's Light Infantry based in Edmonton. Military officials estimate 2,000 Canadian troops will rotate out of Afghanistan during the month of August as 2,000 replacement troops, mainly from Ontario and Manitoba, take their place. See the homecoming schedule posted below.

Chamber Ambassadors Needed

Now is your chance to become involved in assisting with the operation of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce. We're looking for new Chamber Ambassadors to act as volunteer participants in a wide variety of Chamber functions, from special events to community development. Event ambassadors may attend all manner of Chamber gatherings, from business mixers to our annual gala Chamber Ball, helping staff collect tickets, greet attendees, distribute information, and generally assist as required onsite.
The benefits to you are tangible and varied. Our Ambassadors inevitably create deep networking channels within the most active, productive segments of our business community. They develop personal, profitable associations with new corporate clients - including the Chamber itself - as well as a keen awareness of the evolving character of Edmonton business. Ambassadors are the volunteer lifeblood of everything we do.

For more information on becoming a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, contact our manager of special events, Keith Persaud, at (780) 426-4620 or kpersaud@edmontonchamber.com after September 4.
